Catie Somers; library media teacher, has been spearheading such cooperative efforts in impressive ways for some time now As the first recipient (1989) of the CMLEA President's Award, Catie demonstrated her commitment to the partnership concept through her roles as School improvement coordinator, Site Instructional Council member, Apple Support coordinator; Partnerships in Education coordinator, and more. A computer lab for writing and skill reinforcement, prize-winning student video productions, and staff development presentations attest to her continuing commitment The De Portola team relies on Catie to keep them aware of recent innovations and to help them match these with curriculum objectives.
